This Daily Habit Is Ruining Your Life
You are handicapping your brain by doing this.
You wake up.
Thoughts scramble.
They aren’t very coherent yet, but that ambiguousness doesn’t lead you to panic.
Your brain finally gets its wheels turning.
You can move now.
Before you can process what this day holds, you pick up a device.
It’s filled with notifications that took place overnight.
An offer from Uber Eats.
Someone liked your post.
A message from mom.
You’re now scrambling multiple different facets of life in your head at once.
And you got a good bit of dopamine from it too.
You’ve now primed your brain to seek activities that produce similar rewards and stimulation throughout the day.
And it feeds into your phone addiction and lack of focus once again.
Trust me, I’ve tested this.
On every day I manage to fight the urge to pick up my phone in the morning:
I can stay focused on my work for longer periods of time without getting distracted
I’m less stressed
My willpower is higher
Even if my total screen time is the same at the end of the day.
It’s the simplest tweak in your daily routine, but since it takes place during your brain’s most vulnerable time in the day, it heavily determines how the rest of your day unfolds.
Give yourself 30 minutes to 1 hour to wake up and allow your mind to process the various thoughts it produced overnight.
Set your phone far away from your bed at night, so when your alarm goes off, you’re forced to get out of bed.
Remind yourself of the person you’ll be today if you decide to give in to your morning urge to scroll.
Or the person you’ll become if you emerge victorious.
I promise you, if you do this consistently, you will see a difference in yourself soon.

Why can’t I fight the urge to scroll?
What’s my reason for becoming better?
Why does it feel like every time I’m making progress, I fail and mess it up before it can make a difference?
I had those same questions too.
It took years of self reflection, discovery, and transformation, but I was finally able to develop the mindset needed to conquer any challenges life threw at me.
I wanted to create a complete resource for you to learn how to remove your negative beliefs, and replace them with ones that make every day feel purposeful and meaningful.
A resource that dives into the issue of knowing who you are, and the incredible things you’re actually capable of.
And that is why I created my self mastery school.
The Ultimate Self Mastery School is a place for those who want to actualize their greatest potential, strengthen their self awareness, build better habits, and develop a fulfilling life.
The school features 14 videos with 15+ worksheets, a guided meditation, and an exclusive community where we all hold each other accountable and give further advice.
It’s a culmination of years of research on behavioral science, psychology, and of course, trial and error from my own life.
Being able to actually apply the advice you receive, and get consistent feedback from like-minded people are probably the two most important factors in seeing permanent change.
And I’m guessing you currently feel like you can’t talk to anyone in real life about your struggles with self-development, right?
That’s why our community meets in a group coaching call every other week to make sure we are all staying on the path towards self mastery.
And because of that, the friendships in there feel genuine.
Here's some recent wins from our community:

“Those who make the worse use of their time, are the first to complain of its shortness.”
