The Biggest Lesson Children Teach Us
There’s this relatable trend going around on platforms like TikTok and Instagram reels.
It usually involves a guy in his early-late 20s, staring into space with the caption, “Hearing that bird from my childhood”.

An example of this
The bird they are referencing is what is called a “mourning dove”.
And they still exist today.
But to loads of people in the comments, they’ve been convinced they have disappeared.

You might be inclined to believe that the reason people are wondering where this bird went, is because they no longer go outside as much, or in the morning (when the bird usually coos.)
But I think it actually goes much deeper than that.
As a kid, our circumference of perception is much wider than when we are an adult.
The biggest reason for this?
Curiosity.
Without little to any predispositions about the world and how it works, children carry with them this sense of play, awe, and wonder with almost everything they come in contact with.
Conversely, those who have been heavily programmed by societal expectations, who are stuck in a cycle of overconsuming social media content, have notions, beliefs, and labels they add on top of everything they see.
As a result, the world becomes purely material, mechanical, and incapable of anything other than what our predispositions make us see it as.
In other words: to us, the mourning dove is just a bird.
But to a kid, it’s the sound of a strange, otherworldly being that they are able to sustain their sense of wonder around.
And that makes it fascinating enough to be perceived.
Every day, I want you to intentionally take a breath.
Look at your hands. How many palm lines do you see?
How complex are your fingerprints?
Look outside. The trees let the wind push them back and forth.
They grow while staying idle.
The cars move in the street below. People engage in conversation.
The entire world is one complex organism, that interacts with each of its parts in more complex ways than you can imagine.
With that sort of perspective, how can you not be in awe of what’s going on here?
Temporarily remove what you think you know about this world, and let your circumference of perception be widened once again.
When your spark for curiosity reignites, it becomes very difficult to not enjoy your daily routine.
Reconnecting With Your Inner Child
Somewhere along the way, society made you forget who you are.
They told you what you should believe in, belittled you, and downplayed your potential.
I wanted to create a complete resource for you to learn how to remove these negative beliefs, and replace them with ones that make every day feel purposeful and meaningful.
A resource that dives into the issue of knowing who you are, and the incredible things you’re actually capable of.
And that is why I created my self mastery school.
The Ultimate Self Mastery School is a place for those who want to actualize their greatest potential, strengthen their self awareness, build better habits, and develop a fulfilling life.
The school features 14 videos with 15+ worksheets, a guided meditation, and an exclusive community where we all hold each other accountable and give further advice.
It’s a culmination of years of research on behavioral science, psychology, and of course, trial and error from my own life.
And it’s specifically designed for those who want to go deeper than superficial YouTube videos/articles, make close friends who uplift them, and gain a better understanding of themselves.
Being able to actually apply the advice you receive, and get consistent feedback from like-minded people are probably the two most important factors in seeing permanent change.
And I’m guessing you currently feel like you can’t talk to anyone in real life about your struggles with self-development, right?
That’s why our community meets in a group coaching call every other week to make sure we are all staying on the path towards self mastery.
It’s also been an incredible way for everyone to open up about things that they have been going through, have accountability surrounding the habits we are trying to build/remove, and get feedback and advice without judgement.
And because of that, the friendships in there feel genuine.
It’s easily the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever created.

Quote of The Week
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day.”
Thanks for reading, everyone. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
